This was the first in my ‘Queens Beasts’ series I made in 2011.

The original 10 beasts, made by John Woodford RA lined the entrance of Westminster Abbey for the coronation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and Portland stone replicas now stand outside the Palm House in Kew Gardens.

My representations of the 10 Queens Beasts toured the country in 2012 to coincide with Her Majesty’s diamond jubilee.
