I was very grateful to a couple from East Yorkshire who saw a non table version of this sculpture at the Harrogate Art Fair in 2016, thanks to Nick at Bils & Rye, (the best art gallery in Yorkshire) and who asked me to make this version – together with a male partner.
It was something of a challenge to get 1.6 metres of glass to perch perfectly on a plate 6cm x 6cm, but with the help of my friends at Cambridge Precision Engineering and Instrument Glasses, we succeeded.
She is now happily looking out to sea from her home in Bridlington.
