Towards the end of 2018 I chose to move from plating to the actual material. I had started to make other sculptures in this way, using mirror polished stainless steel and Portland Stone from the Chilmark Quarry (with a lot of help from Sam McArthur of Ramsbury Stone).
They are more expensive to make in this way but copper is such a beautiful material, and I think its softness is consistent with what I am expressing in this work.
