I heard Grayson Perry give a talk called ‘Chinese Whisper’ at Chatsworth in 2015 in which he suggested that there are no new ideas in art – just different executions. One of my favourite sculptures is Rodin’s ‘female torso’, and I took that idea and executed it differently. This is one of a limited edition of 8 I have made like this. I have also made this form in different sizes and different materials. I love the form and the way it works.
